Tarandeep Singh of Uttar Pradesh and Jayraj Amane of Maharashtra played Fluently to light up the opening day of the Manisha - Vascon National Billiards and Snooker Championship organized by BSAM and PYC Hindu Gymkhana and played at PYC Hindu Gymkhana Billiards room.
It was a good day for Tarandeep Singh as he became the only player who won two matches winning in the second round of the Subjunior Billiards and the second round qualifying of the Junior Billiards
In the sub juniors event(Under 18) Tarandeep Singh scored a fluent 135-55 win over Tamil Nadu’s Shashwat while in the first round qualifying in the juniors (Under 21) He edged out another Tamil Nadu player Bala Krishna 260-119
Jayraj Amane was the only player from the state to register a win as he trounced A.S.Rohit of Tamil Nadu 232-180 to move into the second round qualifying in the junior Billiards event
Earlier the tournament was inaugurated at the hands of Mr.Rajan Khinvasara, President of BSAM, Dr.Sudhir Bhate, President of PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Mr.Navin Thakur of Vascon Engineer's Ltd. Mr.Anand Paranjape, Hon Secretary of PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Mr.Rishabh Kumar, Jt Secretary of BSAM, Mr.Shekhar Surve, Treasurer of BSAM, Mr.Salil Deshpande, Tournament Secretary and Mr.Tanmay Agashe, Billiards Secretary of PYC were present on the occasion.
