Beach Boys, Novices qualify
Park Club ‘Beach Boys’ and PG ‘The Novices’ qualified for the knock out pre-quarter-finals, in the BSAM-organised Zarine & Yazdi Daruvala Charitable Trust Mumbai Billiards League.
In the play-offs at the Bombay Gymkhana, ‘Beach Boys’ overcame MCF ‘Dark Knights’ 700-638 in Group A with Vishal Gehani hitting significant breaks of 55 and 35, while veteran Belli Aga snatched the third tie to lead ‘The Novices’ to a 746-639 win over NSCI ‘Hell’s Angels’ in Group G, to finish second in their respective groups.
In the pre-quarter-finals, ‘Beach Boys’ will play Khar Gymkhana ‘Challengers’, while ‘The Novices’ will take on Khar Gymkhana ‘Wizards of Hazards’.
The knock out will be held at the Dadar Parsee Colony Gymkhana with the championship round slated for April 27.
