Wins sub-junior billiards final with an easy win over Maharashtra’s Sparsha Pherwani
Pune: Top seed S Srikrishna of Tamil Nadu laid his hands on the sub-junior billiards trophy with a 440-176 win over Maharashtra’s second seed Sparsh Pherwani on Saturday.
In the ongoing Manisha National Billiards and Snooker Championship at PYC Hindu Gymkhana, the defending champion was in full swing and after a 95-point break, he came up with highest 140-point break which ended all hopes for Sparsh.
In the match for third place, Maharashtra’s Kreishh Gurbaxani defeated Digvijay Kadian of Haryana 271-205.
Prize distribution for the sub-junior billiards will be held tomorrow at 9.45am. The prizes will be given at the hands of renowned fitness trainer Mahendra Gokhle. He was chief fitness trainer for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League and was also associated with Maharashtra and Baroda Ranji teams during 1999-2007.
