NITESH MANE HOLDS HIS NERVE
28-Oct-2026
NITESH MANE
Two players refusing to give an inch. Nitesh led 2–0, Ejaz Merchant fought back to 2–2. Nitesh surged ahead 4–2, and Ejaz answered again to force a decider at 4–4! Most frames were won emphatically, with Nitesh’s black-ball win in the second proving particularly valuable. After nine frames of shifting momentum, Nitesh delivered when it mattered most to seal a hard-earned 5–4 victory.
RRAHUL SACHDEV FINISHES IN STYLE
Maharashtra’s current No. 1 in 15-red snooker arrived through the qualifiers—and showed his class with a 5–2 victory over Anurag Bagri. A break of 58 in the opening frame set the tone, but at 2–2, the contest was finely balanced. A crucial fifth frame came down to the black, and Rrahul held his nerve to move ahead 3–2. From there, he never let Bagri back in, signing off with a superb 68 clearance in the final frame. A statement finish! 🔥

🎯 PINAK ANAP KEEPS HIS RUN GOING
Yash Jain had beaten several strong opponents on his journey to the last 32, but Pinak Anap brought that impressive run to a halt. Continuing a year in which he has shown plenty of skill, Pinak secured a convincing 5–2 win and booked his place in the last 16.
💪 GAURAV JAISINGHANI WINS THE SCORING BATTLE
An opening frame that went to the black set the tone for Gaurav’s clash with Sumit Naidu. There were no headline-grabbing breaks, but sizeable frame totals told the story of a match that demanded repeated scoring. Gaurav kept finding the points he needed to earn a 5–2 victory.
🏆 Rrahul. Nitesh. Pinak. Gaurav.
Four contenders through. The race for the title gets tighter.
The BSAM Committee congratulates the winners and applauds all eight players for a fiercely contested day of snooker.
