MAHESH JAGDALE
Defending champion Sumehr Mago survives a major scare! Mahesh Jagdale fired a superb 71, matching Hassan Badami’s tournament-high break, and surged into a 3–1 lead. Mago shifted gears to lead 4–3, before Jagdale snatched the eighth to force a decider. After almost 4 hours and 15 minutes, Mago held his nerve to seal a gripping 5–4 victory. 👏
At 3–3, the clash between Kreishh Gurbaxani and Avenish Shah was finely poised. Shah’s missed opportunities in the next two frames proved costly as Gurbaxani drew on his experience to close out a 5–3 win, with breaks of 49, 37, 49 and 41 across the match.
State No. 3 Abhishek Bajaj delivered an emphatic performance, whitewashing Pune’s Nitesh Mane 5–0 to march into the last eight. 💪
Reigning Maharashtra 15-red champion Rrahul Sachdev continued his strong run, beating Pinak Anap 5–1 to book his quarter-final berth.
The last eight awaits. The race for the title intensifies! 🏆
