Entry into the draw is limited and will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis.

placed on standby.

Rules and Regulations


Dress Code:

All participants (men & women) must wear formal clothing for their matches i.e. a CCI T-shirt (2026) that shall be provided at the venue, formal trousers, socks (no transparent or invisible allowed) and formal shoes only. Any participant who does NOT adhere to the above dress code will not be permitted to play their match.

Rules for walk over:

A person coming 5 minutes late will lose one frame.

A person coming 15 minutes late will lose the match.

The CCI Club Billiards Room clock will be the official and final time keeper.
Draws and Match Schedule:

All the draws and the match schedules will be put up on the website www.bsam.in well in advance. The draws will also be put up at the Cricket Club of India. All participants must check the website for their schedule match time and date well in advance. All participants must report for their match 15 minutes before their scheduled time. No participant will be notified of their matches. They need to CHECK
the same on the above website. Matches once scheduled will NOT be adjusted.
Discipline and Decorum:

All participants are requested to maintain decorum in the club premises. Any participant or spectators failing to do so will not be permitted to enter the club.
ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUESTED TO PLAY IN THE SPIRIT OF THE GAME. ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AGAINST THE PARTICIPANT WHO  DISRESPECTS HIS OPPONENT OR THE GAME IN ANY WAY. THE DECISION OF THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE WILL BE FINAL.

 

Tournament Format
I. Stage 1 - Open Draw
• Initial Rounds

Best of 5 Frames
• Qualifying Round

Best of 7 Frames
• 16 Players qualifying from the Open Draw advance to challenge the 16 pre-placed
Group B1 players.
II. Stage 2 – B1 Round
• Open Draw Qualifiers vs Pre-Placed B1 Players

Best of 7 Frames
• 16 Winners advance to face the 16 pre-seeded Group B2 players.
III. Stage 3 – B2 Round
• Stage 2 Winners vs Pre-Seeded B2 Players

Best of 7 Frames
• 16 Winners from this stage move into the Championship Knockout Stage.
IV. Final Stage - Championship Knockouts (Top 32)
• This stage features:
• 16 Winners from Stage 3 – B2 Round
• 16 Pre-Seeded Classic Players
Match progression:
Round of 32 Matches - Best of 7 Frames
Pre-Quarter Finals – Best of 7 Frames

Quarter Finals – Best of 9 Frames

Semi Finals – Best of 11 Frames

Final – Best of 13 Frames 
Foul and Miss Rule :

Initial Rounds:

3 Foul and Miss Rule will apply. After which the incoming player will have the below
options :

a. Ask the Opponent to play again  OR

b. Play from where the cue ball stops

A Genuine attempt needs to be made. Decision of the Marker/Referee will be final and binding.

On the colour balls (yellow onwards), a player needing 4 Snookers or more (40 points or more) will have to COMPULSORILY concede the frame to the player leading at that point.


Stage 2 onwards :

Unlimited Foul and Miss Rule as per IBSF will be applicable.
The Final Decision in all matters pertaining to the tournament will lie with the Tournament Committee
