Corner Pocket Warriors lift at the 13th Edition of PYC-ATC SNOOKER CHALLENGE title

Pune, March 30, 2019: Riding on great form Pune team Corner Pocket Warriors outplayed Corner Pocket Challengers 3-0 to lift the title at the 13th Edition of PYC-ATC Snooker Challenge organized by PYC Hindu Gymkhana in co-operation with Deccan Gymkhana Club.

In final match Pune’s team Corner Pocket Warriors took a 1-0 lead when India’s no.6 player Sandeep Gulati score a close 3-2(58(41)-08, 00(77)77, 03-38, 73-17, 42-35) win over Laxman Rawat in a five frame match. In the second match Corner Pocket Warriors player Shivam Arora scraped past Faizal Khan 3-1 in another close match winning (22-35, 80-12, 44-15, 56-39) to give his team a 2-0 lead, In the third match Shoaib Khan got the better of Lucky Vatnani securing a 07-41, 64-53, 47-00, 50-22 win to take his team to a 3-0 win .

The winner team Corner Pocket Warriors received trophy and Rs. 1,50,000, while Runner-Up Team Corner Pocket Challengers got Trophy and Rs.90,000 Cash prize, while Semifinalist Team got Rs.45,000 Cash prize & Trophy while the Quarter-Finalist team got Rs 25,000 each Cash prize & Trophy.

Apart from prizes highest breaks were won by Anurag Giri(115points) who got Nagee cue and Rs.10000/- and Brijesh Damani(77points) for record break in Six Red Snooker Event got Nagee Cue and Rs.10000/-. The prizes were given away at the hands of Mr. Nikhil Kulkarni, Manager of ATC Global Logistic Pvt Ltd, Mr.Nikhil Dandekar, Sales Manger Pune Division of ATC Global Logistic Pvt Ltd and Dr. Sudhir Bhate, President of PYC Hindu Gymkhana. Mr.Chandrashekhar Naniwadekar, Treasurer of PYC Hindu Gymkhana, International Women Snooker Player Ashwini Puranik, Mr. Tanmay Agashe, PYC Billiards Secretary, Mr. Salil Deshpande, Tournament Director, Mr.Arun Barve and Kapil Khare were present on the occasion.
