Deven Patel of Kalyan and Akhil Saiyed of Vashi registered contrasting victories in their respective first round encounters of the BSAM Snooker Grassroot Challenger (Leg-2) 2023.
The Kalyan cueist, continued with his impressive performances and sent Sagar Jain of CRMI (Central Railway Mechanical Institute) off track, charging to a straight frame 3-0 (72-41, 52-20 and 55-31 at the Islam Gymkhana on Tuesday.
The Vashi player Saiyed tailing 1-2 fought back to carve out a 3-2 win against Mahshook Painingal of Pool & Snook, Mazagaon at the P.J. Hindu Gymkhana tables on Tuesday. Saiyed won the last two frames for a satisfying 66-100, 105-85, 51-88, 114-72 and 81-70 frame scores win.
