Pune, November 24: Multiple Billiards State Champion Arun Agrawal won the Billiards title at the 2nd Leg of State Selection Billiards and 15-red Snooker Championship which was organized by PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Deccan Gymkhana in association with Billiards and Snooker Association of Maharashtra(BSAM) and played at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana and Deccan Gymkhana Billiards room.

In the final, 61-year-old Mumbai cueist Arun Agrawal scored a 4-2 (150(69)-116(60), 126-150, 150(50)-60, 150-107, 111-150(55), 150-121) win over Under 21 Junior State Billiards Champion Rayaan Razmi to claim the title.

"It was tough match and Rayaan had chance to win, but at some crucial movements he made mistakes. Rayaan is good player. I am happy that good upcoming talent coming in this cue sports. It is also proud movement for me, this is my 14th Billiards State title my carrier," said Agrawal.

In the snooker event Sparsh Pherwani of Mumbai recorded the highest break of the event so far potting 82 and scoring a 3-0 (61-29, 62-33, 82 (82)-1); win over  Santosh Dharmadhikari of Pune to make it to round robin stage. Sumit Ahuja, Shahyan Razmi, Rjawardhan Joshi, Anand Raghuvanshi, Yogesh Sharma, Poras Shah, Anant Mehta also made it to the round robin stage.
