Billiards markers Ajinkya Yelve of NSCI and Selven Samuel of Otters Club had a good third round winning their respective best-of-7-frame matches of the ECC All India Open 6-Red Snooker Tournament 2018, and played at the Elphinstone Cricket Club billiards room. The experienced Yelve put it across Malabar Hill Club cuesist Manav Panchal winning 4-1 (50-44, 32-25, 26-37, 40-33, 39-6), while Samuel defeated Krishna Sarag of JVPG 4-2 (11-24, 43-23, 45-31, 54-8, 27-34, 40-9) to advance the fourth round.
Meanwhile, Aditya Agrawal and Sunil Jain, both ECC encountered mixed fortunes. While Agrawal prevailed over Raajeev Sharma of Malabar Hill Club 4-2 (49-6, 0-45, 38-9, 29-33, 53-44, 43-32), Jain squandered a healthy 3-0 lead before going down to Siddharth Parikh of Hindu Gymkhana in long drawn match. Parikh pulled off a 4-3 (0-44, 3-53, 20-36, 42-1, 40-13, 38-11, 36-34) win.
